How we created Shibarbie: The Shibari bondage project is a combined project of myself and by my good friend David Lawrence, a Shibari aficionado and experienced erotic photographer. David tied Barbie up (although it took some fast talking on my part), and I took the photos of her. David's first book Bound is now available! I used the body of "Catwoman" Barbie because her limbs are fully articulated and could be positioned as David wished. You can see that her body type resembles that of Halle Berry who plays Catwoman in the movie. David used a tweezers and a chopstick along with hemp twine to create this authentic bondage. He told me that the trick to this tie was spraying areas of Barbie with adhesive to create a surface the hemp would adhere to. Barbie has been a wonderful subject and hasn't complained once, even though she's been in Shibari bondage for quite some time!
